When the announcement came that Next to Normal was opening on Broadway, the location of the show was the Longacre Theatre. At the same time, in a somewhat unprecedented move, the producers said that they would be closing down the balcony of the theatre in order to create the size of house they felt the show needed - and to allow the best sight lines for everyone. However, with the recent, abrupt closing of The Story of My Life, Next to Normalhas announced that they will be moving into the Booth Theatre - a smaller, 800 seat house that provides the intimate experience the producers were hoping to have in the first place. It seems that, sometimes, shuffling can work in your favor.
