Arena Stage joins the Phillips for a special edition of its popular monthly program. A lively mix of art and entertainment, Phillips After 5 includes gallery talks, live music, food and a cash bar. Programming will include:
Living Images
Play with professional theater artists in an interactive half hour workshop. Together, we will explore theater inspired by visual art.
Exquisite Corpse
In the spirit of the French Surrealists, write a few lines in a Mad-Lib style play inspired by Morris Louis’ Seal. Don’t forget to check Arena Stage’s Stage Banter and the Phillips Collection’s The Experiment Station for the full script!
Magic from The Elephant Room
Magicians from Arena Stage’s The Elephant Room will roam the galleries with a variety of sublime and absurd tricks and illusions.
Costume Display
Enjoy select pieces from Arena Stage’s costume collection and learn about how they are made.
Reservations are strongly advised for this popular event. General admission is $12; $10 for visitors 62 and over and students. Members always admitted free with no reservation needed.
