This spring, Arena Stage will be transported to River City, Iowa as we begin rehearsals for The Music Man. Our production brings together a diverse company of 30 actors, from national and local favorites to newcomers. Meet 11-year-old Ian Berlin, a fifth grader at the Maret School in Washington, D.C. who will be making his professional theater debut as Marian Paroo's timid and lisping younger brother Winthrop. Through his video blog, Ian will document different aspects of the audition and rehearsal process in a series called Becoming Winthrop: A Young Actor's Journey to "River Thity."
