ELLA: The run is on

It's a whole new ballgame being over here in Crystal City, folks. There's a constant parade of foot traffic in the underground walkway and every time you pass the theater you'll see groups of people standing at the box office buying tickets on the spur of the moment or just watching the video trailer that Vijay's put together for the show. You had to really aim to get to the box office at 6th and Maine, SW, and it was rare to have people just happen upon us. Even during the show, there are people just wandering in to the lobby to see if we really have a theater in here or are just selling tickets to some other location. It is everyone's hope that the new Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater will be a signficant piece of creating the kind of foot traffic on the SW Waterfront that they have below ground here in Crystal City. And, if all goes according to plan, there will be a constant gaggle of the curious hanging around the lobby there as well. Meanwhile, we're having a blast meeting all the new neighbors who just happen past our front door. If you are one of them, welcome to Arena Stage. Let us know how we're doing!
