Our stages are alive with performances, sharing uniquely American stories. Our rehearsal halls and backstage shops are bustling with activity. We have been honored to welcome audiences to enjoy live theater once again. All of this is possible because of support from passionate theater lovers like you.

As ticket sales cover only half the cost of producing the best of American theater, Arena Stage relies on our dedicated members to continue creating, entertaining, and inspiring. Since I know you are someone who values live theater, I hope you will consider supporting Arena Stage this season.

From now until December 31, generous Arena Stage trustees have joined together for a Year-End Matching Gift opportunity like no other. Whether you’ve been a member for years or are thinking about joining for the first time, there is a giving opportunity for you.

For our current members, Arena Stage Trustees Bob Pincus, David Martin and Joseph P. DiGangi have joined together to match gifts up to $70,000. This generous donation has the power to make a huge impact both on our stages AND in the community in the coming year, but we need our members standing with us to make it possible.

For folks who are not yet members and have been waiting to donate until the perfect moment, this is your opportunity! When you join the Arena family and become a member with a gift of $100 or more before the end of the year, your gift will go TWICE as far thanks to Arena Stage Trustees Ricki and Joel Kanter along with the Judy and Peter Blum Kovler Foundation, who are matching all new membership gifts — dollar-for-dollar — up to $30,000!

But that’s not all! If you live in Southwest DC, you have the exclusive chance to help us unlock a $25,000 gift. If we can get 25 new members from our neighbors in Southwest DC before December 31, Arena Stage neighbor and Trustee Rick Froehlich will generously contribute a special year-end gift of $25,000! Arena Stage neighbors, we need YOU to help us unlock this gift by joining today.

These generous donations can make a huge difference in the coming year, but we need your help to make the biggest impact. When you give online today, your gift will be put to work immediately and go twice as far!

Your membership gift will directly impact Arena Stage’s work, both on stage and in the community. You support:

  • The designers, drafters, drapers, carpenters, and electricians that transport you into the world on stage
  • The playwright selected to write Arena’s latest Power Play
  • The curious student given a scholarship so they can attend camp and grow their creativity and confidence
  • And so much more…

In addition to helping make live theater possible, becoming a member will also unlock access to exclusive benefits to further enhance your experience! Arena Stage members receive invitations to backstage tours, open rehearsals and other special events where you can meet our artists, engage with other supporters and get a behind-the-scenes look at our work.

There’s still time to donate before the curtain closes! Will you join our 2022 curtain call with a year-end gift?

Thank you for considering, and happy holidays from all of us at Arena Stage.
