Genean is a writer, performer, and teacher based in the DC metro area. She has performed as a dancer, actress, and singer on a variety of stages throughout Virginia, New York City, and Washington D.C. Her passion to serve children has inspired her to write, direct, and choreograph numerous works for young people in community, classroom, and church settings, and she continues to explore ways of using drama and theatre to inspire learning and development in children. Genean holds a BA in English/theatre performance from Norfolk State University, has studied text analysis, stage management, and directing at Regent University's School of Communication and the Arts, and has also studied and trained at The Actors Studio Drama School at Pace University, New York, NY.
